MOSAIC Presents A Diversity Film Festival

Bloomington, IN – The City of Bloomington Community and Family Resources Department’s Diversity Theater presents MOSAIC: A Diversity Film Festival. The festival’s main event is a showing of Joe Pantoliano’s “No Kidding! Me 2!” at 1 p.m. on May 12 at the Monroe County Public Library. The showing is part of Mental Health Month and will be followed by a discussion from 2:25 to 4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

“No Kidding! Me 2!” is Pantoliano’s (The Sopranos, Memento, and The Matrix) documentary directorial debut and was created as part of his fight against the stigma of mental illness. According to Mental Health America, one in four Americans live with a diagnosable and treatable mental illness. Diversity Theater is sponsoring the event with Mental Health America and the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Facilitators will be Gates Agnew, a retired clinical social worker, and Jane McLeod, president of Mental Health America.

Diversity Theater exists to increase awareness of discrimination and inequality based on race, ethnicity, disability, gender, sexual orientation, aging and homelessness.

The MOSAIC film festival is sponsored by the City of Bloomington Community and Family Resources Department in conjunction with the Monroe County Public Library, Mental Health America Monroe County, the National Alliance on Mental Illness and the Indiana University Office of Multicultural Initiatives.
