According to a story by NPR last week, hearing aids have come a long way from the large, uncomfortable devices of the past. Today's versions are smarter, smaller, and have many more options for those with hearing impairments. They still don't come cheap, however. Top-of-the-line digital hearing aids can cost thousands.
