ExamTime
Looking for an online service to help students study? ExamTime is one such service that can create flashcards, mind maps, and practice quizzes. And it's free to sign up.
ExamTime recently added some new features, too; the most significant of which is the new performance tracking option that lets students track their scores on quizzes and which flashcards and nodes they need to spend more time working on. "Pinning" has become an option now, too, as the study material can be shared publicly so there is already a wealth of material to access.

Assistive technology for hand tremors
Know someone who is having a hard time eating because of hand tremors? According to an article at NPR, engineer and inventor Anupam Pathak hopes to change that. The Liftware spoon had its beginnings while Pathak was still in grad school but really came to life after he was working at the Army Research Lab to stabilize rifles in combat.

Disability awareness from the U.K.
From the U.K. comes a series of one-minute ads meant to end the awkwardness that sometimes happens between people with and without disabilities. Those without disabilities can sometimes seem downright offensive to people with disabilities without even knowing it. A Community Discussion - The Care Gap Crisis
Stone Belt of Bloomington will host a community discussion on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at the First United Church, 2420 East Third Street, Bloomington, on the “Care Gap Crisis.” With a suppressed pay scale that has not been adjusted for more than four years, the industry is facing workforce shortages and challenges with maintaining the infrastructure necessary to train and support that workforce. Turnover and job vacancies have caused increased pressures on the remaining staff and put the quality of services in peril.
