Nursing home ratings
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has put together a five-star quality rating system to help users compare facilities and the quality of care residents receive. This tool gives each nursing home a rating of 1 to 5 stars based on Health Inspections, Staffing, and Quality Measures such as the prevalence of pressure sores or changes to resident's mobility. A facility receiving a 5-star rating is considered above average quality and those with only 1 star are considered much below average.
